SITUATION
A growing, national professional services firm was struggling to improve their SEO and web traffic due to a poor performing Wordpress site. To better compete and improve their marketing efforts, they needed to find a new solution for their website.
CHALLENGE
The client was struggling to find a solution for their poor performing website. Their site contained a number of graphics which adversely affected web site performance.
The client was also struggling to maintain their Wordpress website. There were a number of plugins that were used to create and display website content. The site was becoming more and more difficult to maintain. With the company embarking on marketing efforts, they did not want to expose their poor performing website.
Full On Consulting was engaged to understand their challenges and help them find a solution that would solve their current challenges, but also position them for the future.
ACTION
Our team proposed a new technology solution, one that would eliminate the challenges the company was facing and provide a better customer experience. Full On Consulting proposed migrating to the Jamstack. This solution would offer better performance due to image optimization and pre-rendered web pages. Another key to performance is the used of a CDN. With the Jamstack, the content, pages and functions are pushed to the CDN, making the site lightning fast.
The Full On Consulting Team worked with the client to evaluate existing web content, web design, navigation and mobile requirements. Our designers worked with the client to improve the look and feel and enhance the customer experiemce. A new website was built using a new web host and Github as a code repository. Assets wherever possible were reused to create the new look and feel of the website.
RESULT
The client realzined a 10x gain in website performance. The performance improvements put the client in the top 95% of SEO, page performance and mobile usability. The website had an "A" grade from several web analysis web sites. In the past, their site was ranked at best a "C". The client realized the following benefits as a result of migrating to the Jamstack.
